Role of Colorado Women’s College in Empowering Women and Girls

Retired associate professor of business information and analytics, Dr. Rotimi Aderohunmu’s career spanned nearly four decades. An accomplished academic, business, and engineering professional, Dr. Rotimi Aderohunmu previously worked as a management consultant, production planner and design engineer before focusing on his teaching career. In 1998, he was voted “Outstanding Professor of the Year” by the students of The Women’s College, now Colorado Women’s College.

Colorado Women’s College aims to promote the advancement of women in the 21st century through leadership development, transformative education and research. The college became part of the University of Denver (DU) in 1982 and has since then, shared DU’s vision which is focused on achieving academic excellence, community engagement, global responsibility and coming up with creative approaches to solving problems.

Colorado Women’s College empowers women and girls by supporting innovative approaches that prepare them to be self-sufficient by offering leadership development and life-long learning opportunities. The goal of the institution is to ensure women are not only decision-makers, but social change leaders in all aspects of the society. Additionally, Colorado Women’s College creates opportunities for women and girls to realize their full potential both locally and globally through organizing training, collaborative work and public dialogue.
